March is the beginning of the summer time in Belize. Whilst the annual average temperature in the country hovers around 80 degrees Fahrenheit in regards to the weather, the next three months will see temperatures increase to over 85-90 degrees. September is a special month for us here in Belize as we look forward to commemorate our Independence Day on the 21st, an achievement that all Belizeans are proud of. One day of celebration is too short so, as a country with very strong Caribbean connections, we celebrate for the entire month. To be in Belize in this month is to get a better appreciation and vibration of the country and to interact with the friendly people.
