June marks the beginning of the rainy season here in Belize. This year we could not wait for the return of the rain as the last two months served us with some scorching hot temperatures that caused significant brush and forest fire all over the country. We are all relieved now that the rain is here; as not only the people but also the flora and fauna of our natural environment was under severe stress levels due to the extremely warm weather.
